Complimentary Admissions Policies And Procedures

Requests for Complimentary Admissions (All Sports)

1. Complimentary Ticket Request Form. Athletic department staff members or coaches wishing to submit a request for complimentary tickets must complete a complimentary ticket request form. Submit the form to the Ticket Office at least 24 hours prior to the event.

  1. Recruiting. If the request involves recruiting (official or unofficial visit), or high school or two-year college coaches or teams, the request form must be signed and approved by the Director of Compliance and the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. The ticket office will then process the approved request and have the tickets at the pass list table for the particular event.

*Official or Unofficial Visit. Up to three (3) complimentary admissions (limited to the prospect and those accompanying him/her on the visit).

The prospect and guests must show a photo ID and sign for the complimentary admissions at the Player Pass Gate table.

  2. External Operations. If the request involves some kind of external operation (corporate sponsorship, cultivation, special promotion or group), the request must be signed and approved by the Director of Compliance and the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. The ticket office will then process the request and will either mail the tickets, prepare the tickets for delivery, or leave the tickets at will call for the particular event.

  3. High school, Prep school, and 2-Yr. College Coaches. May be provided 2 complimentary admissions. The coach and guest must show photo ID to obtain his/her complimentary admissions.

Student-Athlete Complimentary Admissions Administration Procedure

1. Each eligible student-athlete may designate which persons (up to 4 per player) are to receive complimentary admissions prior to each contest. The names of those individuals shall be placed on the Saint Louis University Player Complimentary Pass List for that particular contest. Pass lists will be made available to a representative of the sports that have ticket sales at the beginning of the particular sport's season.

2. All student-athletes will be able to fill-in the individuals they wish to give complimentary admissions prior to each contest. No student-athlete is permitted to place another student from SLU on the pass list at any time. SLU students receive free tickets to all sporting events at SLU with their valid student I.D. There is no reason a student-athlete needs to place a SLU student on the pass list. If it is done and is recognized by the ticket office staff; the name will be automatically removed from the list.

3. All pass lists must be completed and turned-in no later than noon the day of a weekday game, or noon on the Friday before a weekend game. A player cannot change or add any names after the list is turned into the ticket office staff. No Exceptions. The Director of Compliance will check the pass list prior to each game.

4. To confirm the identity of the individuals receiving complimentary admissions, valid picture identification must be presented to the ticket office staff at the player pass list table.

5. Failure to follow these policies will result in a warning to the student-athlete the first time, with the loss of all complimentary ticket privileges for the remainder of the season for any ensuing violations.

6. Tickets for any Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament, NCAA Tournament, NIT Tournament, or any other postseason tournament will be administered on a situational basis. Policies vary depending on the tournament and where the tournament is played. Specific policies will be given to the particular team at the appropriate time before the particular tournament begins.
